WEDGE GATE VALVES
Wedge gate valves are operated through multiple turns in a single motion. Applications in which they're used are invariably simple, requiring an on/off function. A wedge gate valve that's been turned 'on' would lift the barrier that's blocking the flow. Our team at CHP Actuation can supply and install these for you.
BUTTERFLY VALVES
Butterfly valves only require a quarter-turn to operate, with the result being a complete shutdown of the flow. Their versatility makes them a common sight across various industrial premises. Although they can be used to manage flow, it isn't recommended due to the damage it can convey. As far as practicalities go, however, they're one of the more affordable valve types on the market. And we provide them for you.
PLUG VALVES
Plug valves are also operated via a quarter turn. Once a quarter turn is made, the plug valve shuts off the flow. In terms of dynamics, the plug valve contains a passage by which the flow runs through unimpeded. When switched, the passage becomes blocked.
ECCENTRIC PLUG VALVES
These are every bit the same as traditional plug valves, with the only difference being their eccentric movement, which is designed to limit contact with the seat or body walls so that any wear or binding is minimised. We can oversee their supply and installation.
PENSTOCK VALVES
Penstock valves tend to be found in water or sewer networks. They're actually sliding doors that are controlled via an actuator once a certain level is reached. The process is automatic, with the flow being unimpeded or blocked depending on the actuator. If you need a penstock valve supplied and installed, we can do that for you.
